Dean
The Dean is elected by the Faculty Council for a term of two years. As a primus inter pares, he leads the faculty and represents the department within the university. His responsibilities include coordinating all faculty-related matters, chairing faculty committee meetings (including the Faculty Council and IT Advisory Board), overseeing the teaching and examination activities of faculty members, managing habilitation records, and signing all faculty-related applications and certificates. The Dean is supported in his duties by the Dean's Office Advisor.
Vice Dean
The Vice Dean is elected by the Faculty Council for a term of two years and can represent the Dean in all matters when necessary. Additionally, she serves as the fire safety officer for the faculty by virtue of her office.
Student Dean
The Dean of Studies is elected by the Faculty Council for a three-year term. Her primary responsibility is handling matters related to study and teaching. This includes coordinating and reporting on faculty-wide teaching evaluations, coordinating the study grant committee, and making proposals for the use of funds available for teaching. Additionally, the Dean of Studies assesses the pedagogical aptitude of applicants in all appointment procedures. At the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, she is also responsible for coordinating Moodle, leading the selection of teaching awards, and chairing the selection committee for the Deutschlandstipendium.
Dean Office Advisor
The Dean Office Advisor supports the Dean and the Student Dean as the central contact person for all faculty matters by taking on administrative and organizational tasks related to the preparation and follow-up of committee work, implementation of decisions, and support of appointment and habilitation procedures. She coordinates collaboration with and between departments, other faculty institutions, and the central university administration and assists with conceptual tasks.
Women's Representative
The Women's Officer of the Faculty actively advocates for gender equality: she provides advice and support on issues affecting female students and staff, develops and implements gender equality measures, and raises awareness on issues such as gender discrimination and harassment. She is a member of the central committees of the faculty and collaborates with other women's officers in a network to create an inclusive and respectful academic environment.

Our IT department offers numerous services and resources for the members of our faculty. These include, among other things, the provision of hardware and software to staff, the creation of official email accounts, the allocation of SPSS licenses, and the management of computer rooms for instructional purposes.
